Formatting a CDR or CDRW for use with DirectCD

1. Press CRTL+ESC on the keyboard
2. From the START menu choose PROGRAMS
3. Choose Roxio Easy CD Creator
4. Choose Applications
5. Click on DirectCD Format Utility
6. Insert the blank CDR or CDRW
7. Click on the big blue FORMAT CD button
8. A dialog will ask you for a label, this will be the name for this CD, enter the name of your company, location like this: DTT1 or anything else you'd prefer
9. Click Start Format
10. A dialog will pop up showing you the formatting process
11. Then the empty CD window will open to show you that the format is done
12. You may now close the Direct CD Format Utility by clicking on the X in the top right corner
13. You are done and your CDR or CDRW is formatted and ready for use

Note: Once you're done copying data to the CD and attempt to eject it from the CDRW drive. You will be prompted regarding closing of the CD. Make sure you select: Close to read on any Computer.
